The Lady Trojans from Troy made a visit to Tiger Gym last week and the Rockdale Lady Tigers played an exceptional game. Trailing by double digits for a lot of the game, the Lady Tigers never quit. In fact, quitting is never an option for the women's Head Basketball Coach Danielle Froggatt.
If you left early on Tuesday night you probably woke up surprised that Rockdale only lost by two points. What an effort by the Lady Tigers. The final score was Troy 42, Rockdale 40.
STATS— Trinity Hurd, 15 points, three rebounds, five deflections, two steals; Reginay Hamilton, six points, four rebounds, six deflections, six steals; Jazalle Dunn, five points, four deflections and four steals.
JV— The Rockda le Lady Tiger JV squad lost to Troy. The final score was Troy 40, Rockdale 18.

Caldwell Tournament The Lady Tigers competed in the Caldwell Tournament last week and went 4-2.
GAME ONE— Rockdale played Burton and lost by double digits, 50-30.
In this game, Trinity Hurd had 16 points, six rebounds and three steals. Reginay Hamilton finished with eight points, four rebounds and two steals.
GAME TWO— The Lady Tigers went up against Hearne and won 53-21.
Hamilton had 16 points, eight rebounds, five deflections, four steals. Hurd contributed 10 points, five rebounds, two deflections and two steals. Alli Lay had 10 points with four rebounds.
GAME THREE— Lexington prevailed against Rockdale with a final score, Lady Eagles 52, Lady Tigers 31.
Tanisha McBride scored eight points, six rebounds. Hamilton had six points with seven rebounds. Hurd scored six points, three assists, two deflections, three steals.
GAME FOUR— Rockdale beat Caldwell in a decisive victory, 48-18.
Hamilton contributed 13 points, three rebounds, two assists, six deflections, five steals. Hurd, 13 points, four rebounds, three assists, two deflections, two steals. Dunn had six points, three rebounds, three assists and three deflections.
GAME FIVE— Rockdale varsity played against Burton JV and won 64-18.
Hamilton had 11 points. Hurd, 10 points. Dunn, seven points and Grace Patton seven points.
GAME SIX— The Lady Tigers won big against Somerville, 50-17.
Hurd was top scorer with 15 points, followed by Hamilton who had 10 points and McBride who contributed eight points.
Coming up
The Rockdale Lady Tigers were set to play at home on Monday (Nov. 25) against Thorndale.
Tigers
The Rockdale Tigers Boys Basketball team traveled to Lago Vista last week. The Vikings, who seem to always play especially well against Rockdale, won by a score of 51-39.
STANDOUT— David Penny led the Tigers with 13 points, four rebounds and one assist.
COMING UP— Next up for Rockdale is Mumford on Tuesday in Tiger Gym. After the Thanksgiving holiday, the Tigers will play in Thorndale on Tuesday, Dec. The varsity will play at 6:15 p.m., JV and freshman at 5 p.m.
JV— The Rockdale Tiger JV squad played in Lago Vista and split games with the Vikings. JV Blue lost 33-27, while the JV Gold team won 55-46.
Leading contributors were Jaylen Ramey with 30 points, Charles Murphy with nine points and Brayden Knoblock six points.
