The Rockdale River Run Cross Country event was held Friday at Apache Pass and the Rockdale Tigers and Rockdale Lady Tigers had great runs.
The varsity boys team that included Jonathan Fuller, Austin Caldwell, Jesse Montelongo and Alex Cooper came in first place. The varsity boys team of Ayden Evans, Emiliano Tovar, Shawn Gerren and Zeb Skrhak came in third place.
The Lady Tigers varsity team of Milagros Cervantes, Izabella Delgadillo, Neomi Medrano and Daniela Bocanegra came in second place.
The JV squads had two first place finishes and a third. The boys team of Aaron Montelongo, Luke Oliveras, Chase Nadeau and Wyatt Smith came in first. The third place team was Brayden Knoblock, Cohen Razo, DJ Travis and Jeremiah Wyatts. The JV girls team of Victoria Zientek, Presley McQuinn, Yaretzi Hernandez and Makayla Zamora finished in first place.
Head Cross Countr y Coach Cheryl Meuth noted how well freshman Jonhathan Fuller, Ayden Evans, Milagros Cervantes, and Neomi Medrano did as varsity team members.
