Lady Tigers
The Rockdale Lady Tigers soccer team traveled to Hillsboro to scrimmage the Lady Eagles and had a significant win, 9-1.
COMING UP— Head Soccer Coach Shirley Rodriguez’s squad hit the road to play Robinson before the Christmas break and will host Hillsboro at 10 a.m. Monday in Tiger Stadium.
Tigers
The Rockdale Tigers had a road scrimmage against Lago Vista recently and came out on top, 1-0.
COMING UP— The Tigers traveled to Robinson on Dec. 20 and will not resume
play until after the New Year.
Alumni game
This was the fifth year former Tiger and Head Soccer Coach Gilberto Rodriguez has been the catalyst for the alumni soccer game where the varsity Tigers take on former players.
The alumni players won the first two games but the Tiger varsity has won three in a row, so the varsity squad is up 3-2.
Coach Rodriguez said, “The alumni were in good shape so it made it tough for our boys.”
The varsity squad was down at the half 2-0 but came back and got the win, 4-2.
