Rockdale hosted an invitational tennis tournament at Veteran’s Park last week. The results were good under former Tiger and first year head tennis Coach Adrian Salcedo.
BOYS— Alvan Liu placed first in singles action. In boys’ doubles, Pratham Patel and Jason Ponnaiya placed third.
GIRLS— In the girls’ singles, Jasmine Lawhon placed second and Presley McQuinn came in third. Isabella Alexander and Jaylee Lugo came in first in girls’ doubles.
MIXED— In mixed doubles action, Cohen Razo and Aubrey Zientek placed first, while Jadon Moody and Emily Zientek came in second.
Junior varsity
BOYS— Shawn Gerren placed first in singles and Criss Ruelas placed third. In doubles, Aaron Ponnaiya and Jonathon Fuller placed first.
GIRLS— In doubles, Kimberly Pokorny and Emerson Hirt placed third.
MIXED— Mixed doubles action saw Ella Hairston and Aden Scales place first with Morgan Hicks and Ethan Stanley following up in second.
