ROCKDALE HIGH SCHOOL TRACK

The Rockdale Tiger and Lady Tiger track teams competed in the Elgin Track Meet last week.

On the boys varsity team, Tiger De’Andre Stephens placed second in the high jump with a 6’ jump and he placed third in the triple jump. Wyatt Smith came in sixth in pole vaulting with a 10’ vault.

The 4x4 relay team placed third with a time of 3:45.45. In the 400M, Jesse Montelongo was third with a time of 53.21. Alex Cooper placed fifth in the 1600m with a time of 5:16.18.

JV— JV Tiger Reaghan Jackson placed fifth in the 200M with a time of 25.20.

Lady Tigers

The results for the Lady Tiger varsity team were Grace Patton placed second in the high jump with a 4’-8” jump.

Trinity Hurd placed fourth in the triple jump at 31’-10.5”, while Chanel Benson placed sixth at 30’-11.5”.

T’Niyah Miles was fourth in the discus with a 81-04 toss. She was also first in shot put at 34’-7”. Tanisha McBride came in third in shot put with a 28’-3” throw and Jernee Mitchell earned a sixth place finish at 26’-7”.

JV— In JV action, Lucy Grivas came in third in the 800M with a time of 2:55.83. She was also third in the 1600M with a time of 6:28.14.

Daniella Bocanegra placed fifth in the 3200M with a time of 15:17.17.

Second place in high jump went to Molly Moody with a 4’-6” jump. Brianna Bailey finished second in triple jump with a 29’-3.5” jump.

Jayla Gonzalez placed fifth in the shot put with a 26’-2.5” toss.
