Last week Rockdale hosted the 66th annual Rockdale Relays track meet.
Head Track Coach Marcus Chalk said there were 13 schools participating with over 800 athletes competing. The Tigers had 75 students in the meet.
The Tiger varsity track team had a fourth place finish in the 4x100 relay with a time of 44.8. Team members were Ayden Pena, Sawyer Chalk, Blaydn Barcak and Dré Stephens.
Tiger Jesse Montelongo placed third in the 400m with a 52.79 time.
Stephens was a first place winner in the high jump with a 6’-2” jump.
Jeremiah Butler finished in sixth place in the long jump with a distance of 19’-1.75”.
JV Tiger Wyatt Smith came in third place in the pole vault with a height of 9’-6”, while Josiah Smith had a fifth-place finish in the high jump with a jump of 5’-2”.
