Congratulations to the Rockdale Tiger track team for placing second in the Happy Skrabanek Relays in Caldwell last week.

De’Andre Stephens placed first in the 200m, long jump, triple jump and the high jump.

The 4x400 team of Montelongo, Stephens, Henderson and Gerren finished first.

Jon Fuller placed second in the 3200m. Wyatt Smith placed second in the pole vault.

Kendrick Henderson was third in long jump.

The 4x100 team of Pena, Montelongo, Henderson and Gerren finished third.

Ayden Pena placed third in the 100m.

The Tigers are coached by Rene Muniz.

Tigers JV

Rockdale’s sub varsity track team placed third in the Happy Skrabanek Relays in Caldwell.

JV Tiger Bryson O’Bryant placed first in the 100m, 200m and 400m.

Josiah Smith was first in the high jump and the 200m.

Michael Carver finished second in the discus.

Emilano Tovar placed third in the 400m.

Juan Salcedo was third in the long jump. The 4x100 and 4x200 relay teams of O’Bryant, Davenport, Harper and Wilson placed third.

Aaron Ponniaya was third in the pole vault.

Lady Tigers

The Rockdale varsity and sub varsity Lady Tigers competed in the Happy Skrabanek Relays held in Caldwell last week with many of these student athletes setting personal records.

VARSITY— T’Niyah Miles placed second in the shot and fifth in the discus, creating a personal best in the discus.

Trinity Hurd was second in the triple jump and sixth in the long jump.

Reginay Hamilton finished sixth in the 100m.

Danielle Bocanegra placed sixth in the 1600m.

Jazalle Dunn was sixth in the discus, while setting a personal record.

Jernee Mitchell finished sixth in the shot while setting a personal best.

JV— Shyra Sheppard came in first place in the long jump and high jump, setting a personal record in the high jump.

Vicki Zientek was third in the pole vault and also had a personal best.

Yaretzi Hernandez placed fifth in the 3200m.

The 4x200 relay team of Shelander, Sheppard, Raley and Baker finished fourth.

Netsie Trejo placed sixth in the shot, setting a personal record.
