Rockdale ISD recently announced new additions and changes to the Blue & Gold coaching staff.
Current RISD teacher Holly Muniz will now be leading the Lady Tiger volleyball program after former Tiger Morgan Laughlin stepped down from coaching earlier this year to spend more time with family.
Muniz has plenty of coaching experience from her stops in Ingleside and Devine that produced multiple playoff appearances and district championships. Coach Muniz is excited to put the whistle back on and we look forward to her energizing Tiger Nation.
Holly Muniz is the wife of head track coach and defensive coordinator Rene Muniz.
Former Tiger Coach Trey Young is now our girls basketball coach. Young has had coaching stops in Cy-Fair, Salado and Cameron, MS. Welcome home coach!
Coach Young has deep roots in Rockdale and we look forward to his passion for the community being the catalyst for developing great student athletes in the Rockdale athletic program.
Coach Danielle Froggat- Lexima who has done an exceptional job leading the girls basketball program will now be our head girls track coach so she can take on additional family responsibilities.
No doubt Coach Lexima will continue to impact our athletes as she brings her commitment to excellence to the track.
