Rockdale’s junior varsity football team couldn’t catch up to the Taylor Ducks, who scored two touchdowns in the first quarter and one in the fourth to beat the Blueand-Gold 20-0.
Rockdale had some notable moments throughout the night, including a fumble recovery in the second half that involved Tigers Colton Wallace, D’anthony Embry and Levar Beckwith.
Coach Bart Gibbs also named Devon Hicks, Saint Medrano and lineman Mason Meschwitz as offensive standouts.
Hicks, Meschwitz and Medrano were named standouts on defense as well along with Ezekiel Castro and Wallace.
THIS WEEK—The Tigers cross the Lee County line Thursday evening to take on Lexington.
Game time is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Eagle Stadium.
There will not be a freshman game prior to the junior varsity game.
