On Thursday, the RHS JV Gold and JV Blue teams joined forces to face off against the Caldwell JV Hornets. The Tigers prevailed 24-14.

Both defenses played great in the first quarter with neither team scoring any points.

The scoring would begin the second quarter with Rockdale quarterback Blaydn Barcak scoring a touchdown on an eight-yard run. The Tigers would convert the two-point conversion on a three-yard run by Barack.

Caldwell would respond with a four-yard touchdown run. The Hornets would score the two-point conversion to tie the game. The score was 8-8 at the half.

In the third quarter, Barcak would show off his arm talent by dialing up a 10-yard touchdown pass to Kemar Spencer. Riley Spears would snag a catch to earn the twopoint conversion.

However, the Hornets would not go away as they scored another touchdown in the quarter. The Hornets two-point conversion attempt was no good, and the Tigers maintained a two point lead.

In the fourth quarter, Barcak would garner his third touchdown of the day with a 10-yard pass to Wyatt Windham. Luke Dafler’s three-yard run would earn the two-point conversion.

Offensive standouts included Noah Pastrano, Landon Pounders, Jose Aboytes, Chris Huff and Spencer.

Defensive standouts included Spears, Sterling Prazak, Huff, Austin Goodman, Colten Wallace and Spencer.
