The Rockdale Tiger and Lady Tiger powerlifting teams had their first meet of the year in Giddings last week.
Lady Tiger Elizabeth Perry won first in her weight class. She also broke the squat record set in 2006 by Caitlyn Luetge by squatting 310 pounds and the bench record set in 2021 and 2006 by Lisbett Boussart and Luetge by benching 190 pounds.
Lady Tiger Caressa San Miguel came in third place in her weight class and Tigers Kaylor Eschberger and Ragan Roberts both got fifth in their weight classes.
NEXTUP— These teams will travel to Taylor this Saturday to compete again.
