On Friday morning, the Tiger and Lady Tiger cross country teams began their season at home, hosting a meet at Apache Pass.

Although it was a cross country meet, the course resembled a tough mudder event where each member of a four-person relay team had to run across some of the bridges in Apache Pass and through sets of woods before hitting the final stretch where competitors had to run through the San Gabriel River before reaching the finish line.

The meet was similar to the Mud, Sweat and Cheers Relays that Rockdale attended in August of 2019 where runners had to work their way through mud pits and climb bales of hay in order to complete the race.
