The Rockdale Tiger soccer team’s season ended last week after a hard loss in post-season play to Lorena, 1-0.

Despite the loss Former Tiger and Head Tiger Soccer Coach Gilberto Rodriguez was pleased with his team: “Last year we went 1-17 with no district wins. We were competing, we just could not win. This year we were 18-72 with a second place finish at the Madisonville Tournament, we won our tournament and were seated third in a very competitive district.”

“We will miss our seniors, but we have a lot of kids coming up that will be a good fit and will pick up where those guys left off,” he added. “ I am excited for the future of our program.”
