The Rockdale Lady Tigers soccer squad hosted their annual Blue & Gold Cup Invitational last week. They came in third place overall with a record of 2-2-1.
The Lady Tigers had wins against Hempstead, 2-0, and Florence, 1-0. They lost to Academy, 1-0, and they lost in a second game against Florence, 2-1. Their tie came in a scrappy game against Florence, 0-0.
Standout players for the Lady Tigers were Leydi Mata, Perla Gonzalez and Hannah McKie.
COMING UP— The Lady Tigers were to face Academy on the road Tuesday (after The Reporter deadline) before traveling to play
Caldwell at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 14.

The Rockdale Tigers soccer team hosted Austin KIPP Friday and came away with a big win. The final score was 5-1.
Wilmer Sorto scored three goals, Angel Rivera and Zeke Castro each had one goal.
Pedro Tenorio had two assists, while Christian Mata and Angel Rivera each had one.
UP NEXT— The Tigers will now host a tournament starting Thursday with game times to be announced. Then they will travel to Caldwell on Tuesday to take on the Hornets at 7:30 p.m.
