Milano High School baseball got their third district win on Monday evening at home, taking down Rosebud-Lott, 6-5, in a game that went nine innings and ended with a walk-off single by freshman Andres Ruelas.

Sophomore Cadyn Shaw led the way at the mound with 11 strikeouts and allowed only two hits in 5.2 innings. Josh Millar threw the final three innings and struck out six.

Millar also had a hot night at the plate with a three-run blast and two more hits throughout the evening. Bryson Richards, and Alan Maldonado also had three hits on the night with Richards hitting a double and a triple.

MHS junior Ethan Gordon got a hit as well and led the team with two stolen bases. Millar, Richards and Abran Ruiz also had stolen bases.

THIS WEEK—Milano Eagle baseball stays at home Thursday to start their series with Bremond and head to Falls County to take on the Tigers on Tuesday also.

First pitch for Thursday is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Milano is 3-7 in district play.
