On Monday and Tuesday, 18 runners from Rockdale, Milano and Thorndale will compete at their respective regional meets.
From RHS, Jesus Bocanegra will compete on Monday at Huntsville’s Kate Barr-Ross Park for his third consecutive trip to the Class 3A, Region III meet. The Tiger junior has also qualified for state the last two seasons. He runs at 8:45 a.m.
On Tuesday at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Lady Eagles Kadance Koenig and Itzel Carrillo will run with a Lady Dog team made up of Abby Dickerson, Aylin Alfaro, Wendy Perales, Makaelyn Frei, Isabella Roberson, Madison Masek and Hannah Fisher in Class 2A, Region IV race at 11:40 a.m.
Thorndale’s Rowdy Casner and Milano’s Wyatt Koenig, Breyton Steibecker, Asael Campos, Kaden Yakesch, Sam Battles, Peyton Steinbecker and Miles Koenig are scheduled to run immediately after that in the boys race.
Top 10 finishers qualify for the UIL Cross Country state championships in November.
