Rockdale Tiger soccer kept their playoff hopes alive after taking down rival Cameron in a penalty kick shootout, 5-4 on Monday night at RHS.
Jesus Bocanegra and Marvin Mata scored during regulation while the game came down to a shootout with goals made by Jose Aboytes, Mata and a game-winning shot by Tyler Thomas.
RHS sits in fifth place in District 19-4A, with games against Caldwell, Giddings and Smithville.
The Tigers play next on Saturday, when they travel to Giddings. Game time is scheduled for 12-noon.
LADY TIGERS—Earlier in the evening, RHS fell 5-0 to La Grange.
The Blue-and-Gold host rival Cameron at 12-noon Saturday.
