Softball camp set for June 4-6

Lady Eagle softball camp is set for June 4-6 at the Lady Eagle softball field. Girls entering PreK through 12th grades are invited to attend. State champion coaches from Giddings High School will be teaching in the camp.

Girls through fifth grade will have camp from 9 to 11 a.m. Sixth through 12th grades will have camp each of those days from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Cost is $40 per camper and $30 for each additional sibling. For more information, contact Amanda Keen at Milano High School (512-455-9333).

BASKETBALL CAMP—Girls summer basketball camp for incoming freshmen will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on June 4-8 at the MHS gym. For more information, contact Coach Jordan Merkord at jmerkord@milanoisd.net.

BLANKETS—The Milano Parents Club is selling Milano Eagle blankets. Orders are due June 1 and will be in at the beginning of school, just in time for football season. Contact Milano Elementary office for more information, 512-455-2062.

CROSSROADS BBQ— Crossroads Bible Church will have a barbecue fundraiser on Saturday, June 9 to support summer events for its young people including summer camp and its Girls in Action (GA) and Royal Ambassadors (RA) activities, according to pastor David Kaufmann. The fundraiser will be at the Rockdale City Hall parking lot from 9 a.m. until sold out.

KRISTI’S KRUSADERS—The annual Kristi’s Krusaders MS Rally for a cure event will be held Sept. 8 at Nat’s in Milano. The event will include a motorcycle run, barbecue meal, live auction, a raffle, 50/50 drawing, T-shirt sales and live music from Brooke Graham and Chris Kleiber.
