Booster club golf tourney rescheduled
Due to heavy rainfall in the area, the Rockdale Tiger Booster Club Golf Tournament and Crawfish Boil was moved to Saturday, June 1.
Entry fee for players is $100 per person and $25 for additional meal tickets. Carts will cost $10 per person.
Players must be 18 years of age and prize money will be awarded to the top three places.

Correction
In last week’s Rockdale Reporter, the RHS softball MVP was misidentified. Macy Knesek was the 2019 softball MVP. She was the leadoff hitter for the Lady Tigers and ended the season with a .394 batting average and .482 on-base percentage.
MHS runner Parker breaks mile record
Milano High School senior Parker Jones broke his own personal record in the mile at the Schrader 1600 in Cedar Park with a time of 4:23.17 last Saturday.
Jones will compete in the mile as well as the 3200-meter run this Saturday at the Class 2A state track and field championships at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin.
Milano ISD holding physicals Thursday
Milano ISD will be offering physicals to students in grades sixth through 11th on Thursday, May 9, for $20.
Paperwork has been sent home with students and additional forms are available in all Milano campus offices.

Tennis players defend state titles
RHS students Reyna Gonzalez and Devon Whitsel will play May 16-17 at the UIL Class 3A tennis state championships for a chance to win their second straight mixed doubles title.
Thorndale’s Landry Lay-well will seek to win her second straight title in the Class 2A girls singles division.
Both schools players will play in College Station at the Mitchell Tennis Center and the Smith Intramural Tennis Center.
Fisher competes in state golf meet
Thorndale High School senior Mattie Fisher will play in the UIL Class 2A girls state golf championship May 13-14 at the Roy Kizer Golf Course in Austin.
Fisher will tee off at 9 a.m., Monday, with Meridian’s Gracee Hiburn and Brookeland’s Samantha Love.
District play set for Wednesday
The Thorndale Middle School tennis team will play in the District 25-2A tournament on Wednesday in Taylor.
