closed for repairs
The track at Tiger Stadium will not be available to the public from May 25 through June 4.
Warranty repair work and resurfacing will take place due to excessive and heavy rain since construction.
RHS volleyball
starts in July
Deadline to register athletes for the Rockdale Summer Volleyball Camp is July
1.
The camp will be held July 29-31 at Rockdale High School gym. Camp for high school athelees is from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. and for younger athletes 1-3 p.m.
Cost for incoming ninth through twelveth graders is $40 and for incoming fourth through eighth graders is $30.
Payment and registeration can be at the athletics office. Checks should be made payable to Rock-dale Tiger Booster Club. For more information contact Coach Kelsey Hudson at kelseynhudson12@gmail.com.
Golf tournament
signups ongoing
The Rockdale Tiger Booster Club Golf Tournament and Crawfish Boil is set for Saturday at the Rock-dale Country Club.
Tee times start at 8 a.m., and the afternoon flight begins at 12:30 p.m. The lunch-in will begin at 11:30 a.m., and the crawfish boil and auction will be held in the club starting at 6:30 p.m.
Entry fee for players is $100 per person and $25 for additional meal tickets. Carts will cost $10 per person.
Players must be 18 years of age and prize money will be awarded to the top three places. For more information, contact Jeff Miller at 512-430-6150 or the country club at 512-446-4013.
THS basketball camp has new start date
Due to the Thorndale High School softball team making it to the state tournament, the basketball camp held at Thorndale High School gym will be moved to June 3-6.
Second through fifth graders camp is scheduled for 10:15-11:45 a.m. and sixth through ninth graders drill from 11:45 a.m.- 1:15 p.m.
THS head coach John Kovar will teach campers fundamentals, shooting, ball handling, defense, passing and dribbling.

Thorndale camp
begins June 10
Thorndale ISD tennis coach Lisa Von Gonten will hold a camp at the Thorn-dale courts from June 10-13
Second through fifth grade will have their camp from 8-9 a.m., and grades sixth through eighth will go from 9:05-10:05 a.m.
The camp will focus on hitting, ground strokes, serving and net play.

Thorndale volleyball camp starts Monday
Thorndale High School will have their volleyball camp on Monday through Thursday in the THS gym.
Students in second to ninth grade can register for $40.
The camp is hosted by THS head coach Angel Raines and will emphasize passing, setting and spiking.
Second through fifth graders will have their camp from 8-9 a.m., and sixth through ninth grader will go from 9:05-10:05 a.m.

Softball camp
begins June 17
Lance Betak will hold a camp at the Thorndale High School softball field from June 17-20.
Students in grades second through fifth will take the field from 9-10:30 a.m., and students in grades sixth through ninth will go from 10:30 a.m.- noon.
Betak is the head softball coach for THS and the camp will have emphasis on fielding throwing and hitting.

MHS summer
schedule released
Milano ISD will have their weight room open Monday through Thursday, from 9 to 10 a.m., during the month of June.
MHS coach Amanda Keen will also have a softball skills session from 10-11 a.m. every Tuesday at Becky Dent Field and Coach Lee Essman will have a basketball skills session at the Geneva Paceley. All athletes from seventh through 12th grade are welcome.
July dates and times have yet to be determined.
Friday is last day
to order state tees
Milano High School will take orders for T-shirts honoring the back-to-back state champion Eagles track team until Friday.
