Arroyo places second in horseshoe tourney
Taylor resident Pablo Arroyo finished the World Horseshoe Tournament in Buffalo, Tex. on Saturday with a second place trophy.
According to friend Patricia Bailey, Arroyo finished the first day of the tourney at the top of the leaderboard.
Bailey also said Arroyo comes from a family of avid horsehoe and washer players and that they spend a lot of their time out at Apache Pass playing for fun.
Arroyo is the partner of Juanita Lopez, of Rock-dale.
Jones breaks senior
course record at RCC
On Friday, Huntsville resident Allan Jones set a senior course record at the Rockdale Country Club with a score of 64.
Jones shot eight under par and one stroke less than his age.
Jones is an RHS alumni of the class of 1972 and a member of the Elkins Lake Golf Course near Huntsville.
RISD Athletes need
medical forms to play
In order to participate in school-sanctioned athletic events at Rockdale ISD during the 2019-2020 school year, student athletes are required to complete a medical history form.
Medical history and physical forms can be picked up at the athletic office or at the Rockdale Junior High office.
Forms can also be found online at www.rockdaleisd.net.
