Rockdale J unior High girls’ basketball teams begin their season on Thursday, Nov. 14, when they Lady Tigers travel to Lexington to play the Lady Eagles.
The seventh grade “B” team plays at 5 p.m., seventh grade “A” follows a six, and the eigth grade “A” team plays the last game of the night at seven.

On Wednesday, Nov. 13, Thorndale softball players Kate Casey and Riley White and Lady Bulldog volleyball player Landri Leschber will all sign letters of intent to play sports at the collegiate level.
Casey will sign on with Texas A& M-Kingsville to play for the J avelinas and White will sign with Abilene Christian University, who she’s been verbally committed to since 2017.
Leschber will continue her volleyball career at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. The senior spiker committed to the Natural State school in August.
All three athletes made it to the state tournament in their respective sport during the 2018-2019 school year.
The even is set to take place at 8:45 a.m., in the THS Gymnasium.

The Rockdale J unior High baseball team lost 6-2 on Tuesday evening to Hustle Select, a club made up of players from around the Houston area.
J esus Bocanegra and Mario Casarez pitched for the Tigers and Casarez and Noah Pastrano led at the plate going one-for-one with a single each.
Bradon Ellis also caught one runner stealing from behind the plate.
Granertak es down Snokin Rockdale
The RHS Gymnasium was host to an bi-district round playoff volleyball matchup between Granger, the third place team from District 25-2A and Snook, the runner up from District 26-2A, on Tuesday evening.
Granger beat the Lady Blue J ays in a five-set tiebreaker 25-17, 16-25, 23-25, 25-22, 15-9.
GHS plays for an area title against Wallis-Brazos this weekend.

Both Milano J unior High boys’ and girls’ basketball teams start playing games next week.
M H boys host Thrall on Tuesday with the seventh grade playing at 5 p.m. The eighth grade will follow.
Milano girls will go to Thrall on Thursday, Nov. 14, to play the Tigerettes. Like the boys, they will start at five with the eighth grade after seventh.
Thorndale MS starts basketball
On Thursday, Nov. 14, both TMS boys and girls basketball teams will start their season with games against Hearne.
The boys will travel to Robertson County for their season debut with a “B” team game, seventh and eighth grade game.
“B” starts at 5 p.m., and the other games will follow.
Thorndale girls will host the Lady Eagles with just a gold team game.
