Double-Header at RHS
Rockdale High School’s Tiger Stadium will host a playoff double-header on Friday.
First, RHS will host the TAPPS six-man Division I state semi-final game between Gainesville’s Lone Star North and Houston’s The Emery/Weiner School at noon.
EWS is coming into the game after beating Ft. Worth’s Calvary Academy 45-20 last week and North is coming to Milam County after beating Austin’s Veritas Academy 68-56.
Tickets are $7 for adults and $4 for students.
Later in the evening, Bremond and Flatonia will face off in the Region IV semi-finals.
Both teams are 11-1 and are the district champions from District 13-2A-II and 14-2A-II.
Tickets for adults are $7 and $5 for students. THSCA, District 13-2A, 14-2A and Senior Citizens passes are also accepted.
Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.
District 10-3A teams play in semifinal games
Cameron and Troy will both play in the Waco area for the chance to face each other in the Region III football finals.
The Yoemen will take on defending state champion Grandview in the regional semifinals at 1 p.m., at Waco ISD Stadium.
The Trojans will play in the other side of the bracket against District 9-3A-I champion Whitney at Midway ISD Stadium in nearby Hewitt.
Rockdale fell to the Trojans 61-44 in week seven and 31-1 to Cameron a week later in the Battle of the Bell.
RJH hoops take on Troy
All Rockdale Junior High basketball teams will face Troy on Monday.
The boys’ team will host the Trojans with the seventh grade “B” game beginng at 5 p.m. 8B, 7A and 8A will follow.
All games are in the RJH Gymnasium.
RJH girls’ teams will play against Troy at Raymond Mays Middle School with the seventh grade “B” game scheduled for a 5 p.m., tip-off.
8B, 7A and 8A will all follow the conclusion of the prior game.
