RJH baseball makes season debut Tuesday
Rockdale Junior High played their fi rst ever baseball game on Tuesday evening.
The Tigers fell 8-3 to the Franklin Lions.
Blayden Barcak and Mason Willard both led the blue-and-gold at the plate each going one-for-two with Barcak having a single and Willard had an RBI-single.
Jesus Bocanegra and Daniel Castillo pitched for RJH with Bocanegra striking out two in two innings. Castillo struck out two in one inning pitched.
Coach Eric Willard also noted that Isaiah Sauls made a great catch in center field.
RJH boys at Thorndale
On Saturday, the Rock-dale Junior High boy’s seventh grade “A” and eighth grade “B” team’s play at the Thorndale Tournament.
They will also travel to Rogers on Monday to face the Eagles.
The seventh grade “B” game begins at 5 p.m., with 8B, 7A and 8A following after.
Lady Tigers back home
After traveling up north to Troy this week, the RJH girls’ basketball teams are back at the junior high gymnasium to host Rogers.
The seventh grade “B” team will start at 5 p.m., with 7A and 8A playing afterwards.
