Rhoades returns to Cameron as head guy
On Monday evening, Cameron ISD trustees named Rick Rhoades as head football coach at Yoe High School for the second time since 2009.
During his first stint in Cameron, Rhoades made five state championship appearances with the Yoemen and won three consecutive state titles from 2012-2014.
He is taking over for Tommy Brashear, who went 41-19 during four seasons with the school from across the Little River, and comes from Class 5A Gregory-Portland, where he had a 26-23 record with the Wildcats. RHS golf hosts tourney Monday and Tuesday
Rockdale Country Club will host the RHS golf tournament this week with the Tigers teeing off Monday and the girls hitting the green Tuesday.
Rockdale track starts Feb. 25 in Lago Vista
Tiger and Lady Tiger track is off to the races later this month when they head out west to Travis County to open the 2021 season at the Lago Vista Relays at the LVHS Stadium.
The itinerary and other schools competing at themeet hasn’t been released to the public, but will be when made available.
