Tigers begin play in 7-on-7 state tourney Thursday
After going undefeated at a State Qualifier Tournament they co-hosted with Taylor, some Rockdale football players will compete in the Texas 7-on-7 State Championships this weekend in College Station.
Game times will be posted on Reporter social media when the tourney bracket is made available to the public.
Lexington, Milano softball teams advance to district
The Rockdale Girls Softball League plays under Texas Teenage Baseball-Softball Association. Each year the top two teams from each age division move on to participate in the district tournament, which will be played this year in Temple on June 20-24.
This year the RGSL 10-and-under division will be represented by Lexington who finished first and the Milano Eagles second.
Jaylee Bethard (at right) is one of Milano’s pitchers who led the team pitching 17 innings, recording 44 strikeouts.
