RHS softball, baseball games scheduled
Rockdale High School softball players were scheduled to partake in their annual “Blue vs. Gold” game on Saturday afternoon, but with rainy weather in the area, the Lady Tigers were forced to wait out the conditions until deciding to cancel the game.
RHS is scheduled to make their season debut on Friday in Franklin. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.
This will be the team’s first game under new head coach Brock Miller.
Like the Lady Tigers, Rockdale baseball’s first scrimmage scheduled for Monday (Feb. 6) has also been canceled.
They will now take the field on Friday, Feb. 10, in a scrimmage at Rosebud- Lott. Play begins at 6 p.m.
Also similar to the Lady Tigers, the RHS baseball team is under the direction of a new head coach, Rockdale native Austin Caffey.
Rockdale powerlifting returns to action
After a weekend away from competition, Rockdale High School powerlifters travel to Kyle’s Lehman High School on Saturday. The Tiger and Lady Tigers lifters will face primarily Class 5A and 6A programs while in Hays County.
RHS also had a meet scheduled Wednesday in Academy for some of their younger lifters, but due to inclement weather, they will not compete.
