The f re shman Tiger football team scrimmaged against the Robinson Rockets Thursday night. This match up ended in a 1-1 tie.
Freshman Tiger tailback Colton Schlottman had an impressive 35-yard run from the line of scrimmage. This allowed running back Jeramiah Butler to run the ball into the end zone to score the Tiger’s only touchdown.
Tiger Coach Ethan Brinkley noted offensive standouts were Cohen Razo, Colton Schlottman and Luke Olivares.
Defensive standouts were Kaylor Eschberger, Jeremiah Butler and Western Smith.
JV scrimmage
The junior varsity Tigers struggled early in their scrimmage against the Robinson Rockets Thursday night but made improvements as the scrimmage progressed according to Coach Pearce Loth.
“Good throws by the quarterback and blocking down field were our high points,” he said. “We need to improve on penalties.”
Rockdale Youth Soccer registration under way Registration is under way for Rockdale Youth Soccer for boys and girls ages 4 to 13. The last day to register is Saturday, Aug. 26.
Fees are $65 per player and $50 for a second or more from the same family/household.
Season dates are Sept. 30 through Nov. 11.
