Rockdale Little League Baseball Fields will be busy this week with the Texas Teenage Baseball District 5 T-Ball Tournament in town. The competition started Monday evening and expected to bring more than 200-plus visitors to Rockdale from this past Monday all the way through Saturday. No games will be played on Thursday, July 4, due the national holiday. Local teams representing the community at the district tournament are the league champion Milano Eagles who went 8-2 and the Rockdale Rangers who finished with a record of 7-3 in their four-team league. Two Rockdale teams will also head up to Cameron for the eight-and-under coach pitch district tourney. The undefeated Rockdale Astros and the Rockdale Rangers started playing in Cameron last night.
