Black bass are good on crankbaits and plastic worms fished up river around the island area.

Crappie are good on micro jigs and minnows fished over brush piles and in timber.

White bass are fair on slab spoons with many undersized f ish being caught.

Blue catfish are good on jug lines baited with shad.

Yellow catfish are slow.

Somerville

FAIR. Water stained; 90 degrees; 0.54 feet above pool.

Lake is six inches above normal and discharge is 94 cfs at the dam.

Summer pattern is likely to exist into September.

At the Somerville Marina, the crappie bite is slow, and bluegill and catfish are fair.

Crappie are slow on jigs and minnows over brush on the main lake in 8-16 feet of water.

Catfish are fair in 3-10 feet of water using cut shad or punch bait.

White bass are excellent, trolling with various spoons or anchored with shad and ghost minnows.

Hybrids are fair with the best bite in the afternoon in deeper water using cut bait.

Below the dam fishing is fair, while water is being slowly released.
