In district 13-2A DI, 25 student athletes from Milano and Thorndale received all-district honors.
Milano – Devonte Jones and Christian Thurman made the first team on offense. Kathen Funburg, Kevin Garcia and Jones as a punt returner made the offensive second team. Kathen’s brother Kameron Fun-burg was the lone Eagle on the defensive second team. Honorable mentions for the Eagles were Darius West, Noah Benavides, Ben King, Danny Cloud, and Garcia.
Thorndale – For the Bulldogs, Scott Guzman, Luke Leschber, Corey Preusse, Corbin Preusse, Mason Liles, Jacob Pedroza, and Michael Herzog made the offensive first team. Guzman, Herzog and Corbin Preusse made the first team on defense.
Corey Brooks, and Jagger Rubio made the offensive second team. Rubio and Herzog, along with Pacey Wright, Mike Reyes, and Kyle Northcott, made the defensive second team as well.
Honorable mentions for the ‘Dawgs were Herzog, Ethan Booker, Hayden Kilberg, Cayden Nicholson, Darian Meraz, Ty Morstatter, and Cain Brymer.
Leschber, Wright, the Preusse brothers, Rubio, and Nick Gerren made the Academic All-District team.
