For the second time in district play and the third time this season, the Lady Bulldogs defeated Thrall in a Tuesday night match at the THS Gymnasium 25.-18, 25-15, 21-25, 25-21.
Thorndale was led by Landri Leschber and Madi Smith at the net with 18 and 14 kills. Kyndal Robinson was also a key performer for the undefeated Lady Bulldogs with 25 assists.
SATURDAY–Thorn-dale also shutout defeated Granger for the second time in District 25-2A play when THS beat the Lady Lions 25-23, 25-22, 15-25, 25-15 on Saturday.
Leschber led the maroon crew with 21 kills and 13 assists. Robinson had a big game all around the court with 13 kills and 23 assists. Smith was also a top performer with 13 kills.
Both Thrall and Granger spent much of the season ranked ahead of Thorndale on the Texas Girls Coaches’ Association poll where they are now ranked 12th in Class 1A/2A.
MUMFORD–A week before taking down Thrall, the Lady Bulldogs defeated Mumford 25-21, 25-8, 25-7 on Tuesday, Oct 1.
Leschber led Thorndale with 13 kills and 10 assists and Allison Albert had 11 digs. Robinson led the team in assists with 20.
THIS WEEK–Thorn-dale travels to Bartlett on Saturday afternoon to play the Lassies.
THS defeated Bartlett 25-12, 25-11, 25-14 on Tuesday, Sept. 17, in Thorndale.
