THORNDALE—The Bulldogs’ strong seasons earned several All-District honors for 2023 in District 27-2A.
BULLDOGS— In baseball, Luke Merz was selected as the district’s Most Valuable Player by unanimous vote.
Merz was joined by five teammates elected to first-team All-District: Coy Stutts, Gunner Ferguson, Luis Cazeres, Kaden Kovar and Hunter Thigpen.
Also receiving All-District recognition were Tyler Turnman and Lance Pesl, both of whom earned a place on the second team.
Honorable Mentions were given to Rowdy Casner and Nathan Grimm.
LADYDOGS— The Lady Dogs are well represented in 27-2A with eight young women earning All-District acknowledgments.
Raeghan Carlson was selected as the district’s Offensive Most Valuable Player and Karis Ginn took home Pitcher of the Year honors.
They were joined by All-District first-teamers Natalie Garcia, Berneice Gonzalez and Kassidy Eubanks.
Aiyanna Stevenson and Allison Owen made second team, with Hailey Meadors receiving an honorable mention.
