The Thorndale Bulldogs can now add bi-district champions to their resume after defeating Junction last week in a two game series that was played in Wimberly.
Thorndale won game one 14-1. Players of the game were Rowdy Casner who had a two run single, 2 walks and Jaxson Eschberger who was the winning pitcher.
Eschberger threw five innings, only gave up one hit and one run and contributed at the plate by hitting a single, walked once and scored twice.
Game two was closer with a final score of 4-1.
One player of the game was Gunner Ferguson who was the winning pitcher. Ferguson pitched 6.2 innings, gave up five hits, one run and struck out 10. He also had two singles and scored a run.
Kaden Kovar was the other player of the game. He got the save, hit three singles, scored once and had two RBI.
AREA PLAYOFFS— The Thorndale Bulldogs will play Burton in a doubleheader in t he area playoff game at Brazos Valley Bomber Field in Bryan. Game one is at 4:30 p.m. Thursday and game two will start one half hour later. If game three is necessary, it will be played at 4:30 p.m. Friday.
