The Thorndale Bulldogs baseball team is 7-1, second place in district and they are not slowing down.
BR EMOND— Last week, they embarrassed Bremond with a 10-0 win in Thorndale.
Players of the game in this match were Lance Pesl (single, BB, 2 HBP, 3 runs and an RBI), Gunner Ferguson (winning pitcher, 1 H, 11K, 2 singles, triple, 2 RBIs) and Kade Becker (2 singles, RBI).
HOLLAND— Later in the week on the road the Bulldogs beat Holland 9-8.
Players of the game were Rowdy Casner (RBI single), Nathan Grimm (single, double, run, 3 RBIs), Jaxson Eschberger (winning pitcher, 14 K), Kade Becker (saver, 2 K, 2 singles, BB, run and 2 RBIs).
COMING UP— The Bulldogs have three home games this week. On Tuesday, they were set to take on Bartlett, on Friday (at 4:30 p.m.) they face rival Thrall and wrap up their week on Saturday against Chilton (time TBA).
Lady Bulldogs
The Thorndale Lady Dogs registered two wins last week.
HOLLAND— They beat Holland on the road with a ferocious final score of 18-9.
Karis Ginn had two home runs and drove in five runs in this game.
BREMOND— Later in the week Thorndale earned a walk off victory over Bremond in front of a home crowd.
COMING UP— This week the Lady Dogs will take on Bartlett, Thrall and Chilton all at home on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday, respectively. The Friday game starts at 6 p.m. and the Chilton game will be at 12-noon.
