COLUMBUS—The Thorndale Lady Dogs softballers lost in the regional semifinals last week to Ganado. It only took two games for the Lady Indians to end the season for Thorndale. Final scores were 12-0 and 2-1.
Way to go Lady Dogs on another great softball season!

NAVASOTA—It took three games for Danbury to put the Thorndale Bulldogs down in the area round of the baseball playoffs. Thorndale split the first two games, losing game one, 10-0, and winning game two, 7-6. Game three’s loss was a tough pitchers’ duel that finished with a final score of 1-0.
Players of the game in the game two win were Gunner Ferguson, winning pitcher, 5.1 innings pitched, gave up five hits, had five ER, struck out 11, hit a single, a triple, scored and had one RBI; Pedro Jimenez hit a single, a triple, scored once and had two RBI; Lance Pesl got the save on the mound with 1.2 innings pitched, gave up no hits and no runs, he also hit two singles, had two BB and got an RBI; Jaxson Eschberger hit two singles and had an RBI.

years.
The Thorndale Bulldogs’ (top photo) season came to an end against Danbury in the area playoffs last week at Navasota; they dropped two of the three games. In game two—the game they won—players of the game (bottom left photo) were Gunner Ferguson, Pedro Jimenez, Lance Pesl and Jaxson Eschberger. The Lady Dogs (bottom right photo) were also knocked out of the playoffs last week, losing two games to Ganado at Columbus.
