Last week the Thornale Bulldogs clinched a playoff spot with their 6-1 win over Milano.
Later in the week Thorndale took on Granger and beat them 12-2.
Against Milano, standout players were Hunter Brantley, who hit a two-run RBI single that gave the Bulldogs the lead; Jaxson Eschberger, the winning pitcher, threw a no-hitter and had 10Ks; Gunner Ferguson hit a single, a double, had two RBIs and a stolen base.
COMING UP— The Bulldogs were to play on Tuesday in Travis against Ros ebud-Lot t be for e returning home to host Holland at 7 p.m. Friday.
Lady Dogs
The Thorndale Lady Dogs, who have not let anyone up for air, suffered their first district loss last week against neighboring Milano. The final score was 9-2.
This was not a deterrent however to winning out the rest of their week. They beat Milano, 9-2, and then Granger, 1-0. They are first place in district at 12-1.
COMING UP— The Lady Dogs’ final game of the regular season was to be played Tuesday against Rosebud-Lott in Travis.
