Congratulations to the Thorndale Bulldogs basketball team who are district champs. They defeated the Milano Eagles, 47-23, in their last game of the regular season last Tuesday.
UP NEXT— Thorndale was to face off against Ganado in the bi-district matchup on Monday (after The Reporter deadline) in Giddings.
Lady Dogs
Thorndale Lady Dogs traveled to Giddings last week to take on Schulenberg in the bi-district round of postseason play.
They played a close game but ended up losing 38-33 against the Lady Shorthorns.
Thorndale had another great season with a 9-3 district record—good enough for a second place finish—and they were 17-15 overall.
HONORS— Congratulations to the following Lady Dogs for being awarded All-District honors.

• Honorable mention— Kennedy Robinson, Raven Sandoval.
• Defensive MVP— Emily Northcott.
