The undefeated Thorndale Bulldogs went to Granger last week and came home with another win.
Thorndale is undefeated this year in district play at 7-0 and 24-3 overall.
The final score against the Lions was Thorndale 47, Granger 37.
COMING UP— The Bulldogs were set to take on Bartlett at home on Tuesday, before going on the road against Holland at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
Lady Dogs
The Thorndale Lady Dogs only had one game on the schedule last week and they lost on the road against the Granger Lions.
The schedule is not going to get easier for this hard playing Thorndale team. They wrap up the regular season against Bartlett, Holland and Hearne. Each of these games will matter as they look for postseason play.
The final score against Granger was Granger 34, Thorndale 33. Head Lady Dog Basketball Coach Doug Franklin said, “We are playing as well as we can. We played well enough in this game to give ourselves a chance to win.”
Morgan Rabel stepped up and ran the offense because standout Lady Dog Emily Northcott was having foul trouble. Kennedy Robison was noted for her play in this game, making defensive plays, steals and deflections. Brooke Amidon came off the bench and made an important three point shot at a critical time. Kassidy Eubanks led the team in scoring with 12 points.
COMING UP— Thorndale was set to host Bartlett on Tuesday before traveling to Holland for a 6 p.m. Friday game.
