The Thorndale basketball team continued its win streak last week. The Bulldogs put two W's in the win column beating Hearne 59-27 and Milano 54-24.
HEARNE— Aga inst Hearne, Kaden Kovar put up 23 points, Kale Meadors had 13 and Jayden Clawson contributed 11 points.
MILANO— In the Milano game, Braden Pickel had 16 points, Case McDaniel had 11 and Jayden Clawson had eight points.
COMINGUP— The Bulldogs were to face the Thrall Tigers on Tuesday as they close out their regular season on the road. The Tigers are 7-4 and in third place in the district. The Bulldogs are 11-0 and in first place in the district. (Results will be in next week’s Reporter.)
Lady Bulldogs
Last week the Lady Dogs
got it done in their last regular game of the season.
HEARNE— They beat the Hearne Eagles to set up a three way tie with Bartlett and Granger for third place in district. The final score from this game was 42-25.
L ady Dogs Bet hany Peruses and Emily Reeves each had seven points, Jacie Leho had eight and Emily Northcott had six.
GRANGER— This win set up a Thursday game in Taylor against the Granger Lions. A win against the Lions would earn a playoff spot. This was not the Lady Dogs night and they suffered a loss. The final was Granger 51, Thorndale 45.
PLAYOFF SCENARIOS— This loss set up a game between Granger and Bartlett on Friday.
If Granger won the game, Thorndale would have to play Bartlett for fourth place.
If Bar t let t won t he game, they would be third place in district, Granger would be fourth and Thorndale would be out of the playoff hunt.
BARTLETT— Granger got the win and so Bartlett and Thorndale played for fourth place seeding.
The Lady Dogs did what they had to do to keep the season going and won against the Bartlett Bulldogs 40-38.
SHINER— Thorndale was then matched up in the playoff season on Monday against Shiner, who came in first place in their district with an undefeated record of 12-0.
The Comanches proved to be too much and Thorndale suffered a loss that sent them home for the year. The final score was Shiner 54, Thorndale 25.
