Thorndale High School athletes competed in the area track meet held in Flatonia last week with great results with many now headed to the regional meet.
Congratulations to:
• Lady Dog Bethany Preusse, the new area champion in discus and shot put.
• Riley Shock placed third in discus.
• Nadia Gonzalez placed fourth in both the 3200 and 1600.
• Skilee Bear placed second in the 3200 and the 1600.
• Raven Sandoval is the area champion in the 3200 and 1600 and placed third in the 800.
Bulldogs moving onto regionals are:
• Case McDaniel, who is the new area champion in the 1600, placed third in the 800 and fourth in the high jump.
• Jamie Llanas is the area champion in the 3200 and placed second in the 1600.
• Jayden Clawson placed second in the 100.
• Luciano Legon is the area champion in pole vaulting.
• Ethan Schramm placed third in triple jump.
• Braden Pickel placed second in the discus.
• Will Cloud came in fourth place in the 300 hurdles.
The regional meet will be held at Texas A&M in Kingsville on Friday and Saturday.
