Last year, the Thorn-dale Lady Bulldogs fell short of the Region IV tournament when they fell to San Saba, missing out for the second straight year.
What the defending district champions have going for them is a lot of experience.
They have Savanna Taylor, Sierra Winkler and Ariana Anders returning to the floors as leaders and Kiera Rash, Makayla Lafferty, Kelsey Kovar, Jacey Paulsen, Ashley Pesl and Riley Calk also back on the court in the maroon-and-gold.
They won their season opener over Brentwood Christian last Tuesday and lost to Austin-St. Michael’s on Friday.
Thorndale played their third game of the season in Cameron on Tuesday after press time.
They return to Cameron on Thursday and Saturday where they begin their tournament stretch of the season before play in District 25-2A starts.
THS is scheduled to play their first game on Thursday at 11:30 a.m.
