If you are a Bulldog fan, it’s not getting any easier for you as the season progresses. The Bulldogs lost Friday at home against the Weimar Wildcats. The final score was Weimar 35, Thorndale 22.
This game was a fight and Thorndale’s offense came out ready to do battle. They scored early as junior Bulldog quarterback Gunner Ferguson threw a dart to junior wide receiver Jayden Clawson and this 15-yard reception resulted in a touchdown. Senior kicker Daniel Monroy made the extra point and Thorndale took the lead early in the first quarter, 7-0.
The Wildcats would not stay down for long and they scored twice in the first quarter. They made an extra point kick and failed on a two-point conversion. The score going into the second quarter was Weimar 13, Thorndale 7.
Before halftime the Wildcats would score again and the Bulldogs went into the locker room down by 14 points—Weimar 21, Thorndale 7.
The third quarter opened up with Bulldog signal caller Ferguson making a oneyard dash into the end zone, then making another attack on the ground for the twopoint conversion. This made the score Weimar 21, Thorndale 15.
Weimar answered in the fourth quarter with their own rushing offense. They failed to make the extra point but took a larger lead, 27-15.
The Bulldogs were definitely still in this game and proved it by scoring again on another one-yard push by quarterback Ferguson. Surefooted kicker Monroy was good for the extra point. The Bulldogs were now be only one score down, Weimar 27, Thorndale 22.
The Bulldog defense was however unable to hold the Wildcats, as they gave up another Weimar touchdown. The final score of this game was Weimar 35, Thorndale 22.

These Bulldogs work hard, have competitive hearts, deserve our support and nobody wants to win more than them.
NEXT UP— The Bulldogs are 0-7 for the year, 0-3 in district. They hit the road for their next game against a red hot Holland Hornets team that are 6-0 for the year and 2-0 in district play. Kick off is at 7:30 p.m.
