Thorndale got hot early Thursday evening on their home field when junior Logan Davis blasted a three-run homer off of Rosebud-Lott pitcher Nicholas Bravo to bring the Bulldog lead up from 1-0 to 4-0.
THS built on this lead taking advantage of errors to make it 6-1 in the fourth, and 8-1 at the end of the sixth with one run each in the fifth and sixth inning with RBI-doubls from Bryson Beran, Carter Brymer and Coy Stutts. The Bulldogs saw some fight from the Cougars who had a surge with two runs in the fifth, but Thorndale got their sixth district victory, 8-4.
Davis also led from the mound, striking out nine in 6.2 innings while allowing 11 hits and one walk.
