Lady Dog softball got their sixth consecutive win on Friday night, taking down Granger 12-0.
THS freshman Karis Ginn allowed just two hits against the Lady Lions and struck out four to add to her total of 65 strikeouts on the season. Natalie Garcia and Emilee Baker led at the plate going 3-for-4. Baker also hit a two-run bomb with 3 RBI’s and two stolen bases. Junior Landri Martinka also hit her first home run of her high school softball career.
THIS WEEK—The Lady Dogs improved to 7-0 in district play with a 15-0 win over Rosebud-Lott on Tuesday after press time and hit the road Friday to face Hallettsville’s Sacred Heart at 4 p.m. in a non-district game. The Lady Dog junior varsity will stay at home to face Bartlett at 6 p.m., who they beat 16-6 earlier this month.
BULLDOGS—In Bell County, the Bulldogs also shutout their opponent and remain undefeated, beating Holland 18-0.
THS scored 10 runs in their first at-bat of the game with Broedie Salas and Hunter Clark leading the ’Dawgs at the plate with two hits each. Senior Logan Davis struck out eight and allowed four hits in five innings pitched.
THIS WEEK—The Bulldogs faced Holland again on Tuesday after the release of this week’s Reporter and head to Rosebud-Lott Friday to take on the Cougars.
Game time is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
