The Thorndale track teams competed in the area track meet held in Thrall last week and the boys’ team left as the area champions.
Individual results were:
• Braden Pickel, third in discus.
• Kaleb Yount, second in shot-put.
• Luciano Ruiz, third in pole vault
• Jayden Clawson, third in triple jump, fourth in 400M.
• Case McDaniel, fourth in the high jump, third in 800M, second in 1600M.
• Carson McCoy, first in 100M and 200M. He also had a personal best in the 200M and broke a school record held since 1989.
• Everton White, second
in 100M, fourth in 200M.
• The 4x100 relay team of Carson McCoy, Jayden Clawson, Everton White and Owen Pyeatt came in first.
They will now go onto the regional meet.
Lady Bulldogs
These Lady Dogs participated in the area meet and have qualified to go onto regional:
• Bethany Preusse, first place in discus with a new school record. She was also third in shot-put.
• Riley Shock, fourth in discus.
• Raven Sandoval, third in 3200M, fourth in 800M, second in 1600M.
• Skielee Bear, first in 3200M.
