Thorndale’s varsity volleyball team defeated Milano Tuesday evening 25-14, 25-20, 26-24 on the road to clinch the District 25-2A championship.

This was the second team in three years the Lady Bulldogs have been district champs after being co-title holders with Thrall in 2017.

MILANO–Against the Lady Eagles, they were led by senior Landri Leschber who had 11 kills and also was the top setter with 18 assists. Kyndal Robinson also 11 kills and had 16 assists.

Although THS has won the district crown, they still have one more game on Saturday when they host Mumford.

First serve is set for 4 p.m.

LAST WEEK–On Friday, the Lady Bulldogs got their second win over Buckholts with a 25-11, 25-14, 25-7 shutout.

Leschber had 25 kills, Robinson was the assist leader with 23 and THS was hot from the service line with 16 aces total.

On Tuesday, Thorndale also shutout Holland with a 25-15, 25-2, 25-6 win.

Madi Smith had a good game at the net with 11 kills and six blocks and Robinson had 19 assists. Ashley Pesl and Allison Albert were top defenders with eight and six digs.
