What’s proven to be a disappointing season for the Thorndale Bulldogs stayed on track with another loss last Friday night. This time it was against the neighboring Thrall Tigers. The final score was Thrall 42, Thorndale 14.
Thorndale scored first on an exciting Bulldog junior Noah Crabtree 95-yard kickoff return. Senior Everton White would then run the twopoint conversion into the end zone making the score 8-0.
The Bulldogs defense allowed Thrall to score twice in the first quarter. Going into the second quarter it was Thrall 14, Thorndale 8.
The second quarter started with Bulldog junior Jayden Clawson doing what he has done all year long. Clawson pulled in a touchdown strike thrown by junior Bulldog signal caller Gunner Ferguson. This 16-yard play would tie the game after the Bulldogs failed to make the extra point kick. The score in the game was now Thorndale 14, Thrall 14.
The lead would change quickly with the Thrall Tigers scoring twice more in the second quarter. Going into the third quarter the score would be Thrall 28, Thorndale 14.
The second half produced a scoring drought for the Thorndale Bulldogs but the Thrall Tigers would score yet another 14 points in the third quarter.
The Bulldogs kept the Tigers from scoring in the fourth but the Tigers returned the favor and the final score of the game was Thrall 42, Thorndale 14.
ditionally a winning team and no doubt it’s been hard on the players, the coaches and the fan base. The Bulldogs are now 0-9 for the season, 0-5 in district play.
COMING UP— The Bulldogs are idle this week, then they play their final game on the road against the Hearne Eagles on Nov. 3. The Eagles are currently 1-7 for the season and 0-4 in district play. The kick off will be at 7:30 p.m.
