Thorndale 7-on-7 battled in a tough pool this weekend at the state qualifier in Chilton, with the Bulldog athletes falling 19-14 and 21-20 to Class 3A programs Riesel and New Waverly.
They also faced Buffalo, who beat them 28-14. The Bison are coming off a Class 3A-II regional quarterfinal appearance this past December.
THIS WEEK—THS has another chance to qualify for the Texas State 7-on-7 Tournament later this month when they travel across the Lee County line Saturday to Lexington.
Thorndale’s first game is scheduled for 9:15 a.m. against Snook.
