Thorndale’s Mattie Fisher shot a 198 in the UIL Class 2A state golf championship in Austin last week.
The senior was a four-year regional qualifier. She finished thirty-ninth in a field of 70 in her final tournament last Tuesday at the Roy Kizer Golf Course with scores of 99 each day in the two-day tournament.
Fisher, who was also salutatorian of her class, made the academic all-state and -district teams and took the silver medal in district.
She was named to the all-District25-2A second team.
